Alija, a miner who has migrated from Srebrenica to Slovenia, is tasked with investigating an abandoned mine, where he finds the remains of executed people – soldiers, members of militias and supporters of anti-communist and fascist movements killed here by Titoist partisans after the end of World War II. A film about a war crime some would gladly sweep under the carpet and about how mass murder can occur when intolerant ideas try to prevail. (bb)
